D.C. walks: Rock Creek Park edition

Took these photos a few weeks ago and never uploaded them. It’s pretty much winter here now, but this fall was one of my best on record, and these images are just a little part of why. As usual, they were all taken with a DROID X.

McPherson Square at night

Killed some time waiting for the bus this afternoon by snapping a few shots at the White House and McPherson Square with my Droid X. Makes me want to get a real camera.

: OccupyDC protesters gather in McPherson Square, surrounded by plenty of signs.

: One of the more direct signs in McPherson.

: One woman, sitting near the assembly, fed a ton of birds for at least 30 minutes.

: There were just a few police officers roaming. One protester kept trying to chat this one up.

D.C. walks: Mount Pleasant edition

I’d been meaning to take a walk deep into Mount Pleasant, and I finally got the chance today on what was probably one of the best fall days we’ll have this year. My 90-minute trip solidified my belief that Mount Pleasant is a top five underrated and underknown neighborhood in the district.
