The GW Hatchet
Alex Byers is a web-focused journalist who hails from Minneapolis. He is currently a Web producer for POLITICO, and previously served as the editor in chief The GW Hatchet, the award-winning student newspaper at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
He has worked with The Washington Post, NBC News, and General Mills, Inc. When not honing his storytelling skills, Alex can be found throwing a baseball or swinging a golf club. He plays piano and guitar, and is unashamed to say he has recently taken a liking to country music.
